Controversial U.S.-based Ghanaian political commentator, Kevin Ekow Taylor, has accused the wife of embattled former National Signals Bureau (NSB) boss Kwabena Adu Boahene of engaging in an affair with an actor.
Speaking during a recent episode of his show, With All Due Respect on Loud Silence Media, Taylor claimed Angela Adjei-Boateng, the wife of the ex-NSB boss, has been engaging in affairs on his blind side.
Taylor asked the embattled former bureaucrat to ask his wife about one David Mensah, who he claimed is an actor and has been engaged in an illicit affair with Adjei-Boateng.
“Adu Boahene, ask your wife about the actor who shares your bed when you travel. His name is David Mensah,” Taylor alleged. “Do you know what is going on? Ask your wife, ask your gatemen”
Taylor further claimed that Adjei-Boateng purchased certain properties for Mensah due to their entanglement.
Kevin Taylor said he was angry after hearing that Adjei-Boateng and her husband were suing the state over their ongoing prosecutions for alleged fraud and money laundering. Taylor said they should remain mute and go to jail for their crimes rather than trying to pretend they are being wronged in any way.
Adu Boahene remanded into custody
Adu Boahene, his wife and a third defendant face 11 charges for alleged financial crimes related to the movement of approximately GH¢49,100,000.00 to their personal accounts.
In February and March 2020, during his time as NSB boss, Adu Boahene is reported to have set up a scheme to procure a cyber defence system for Ghana but transferred large sums of the contract payment into his and his wife’s private bank accounts.
The couple were arrested earlier this year and charged with fraud, money laundering, and causing financial loss to the state, among others.
On Friday, May 2, Adu Boahene was remanded into police custody, while his wife and the third accused, Mildred Donkor, remain out on bail.
