A special aide for Engineers and Planners CEO Ibrahim Mahama has pledged help for Ghanaian student, Suzzy Pinamang, who was shot by her colleague at Adventist SHS in the Ashanti Region.
In a viral video, Suzzy, who was shot in the eye by a student identified as Amoabeng, cried for help from wealthy Ghanaian businessmen Ibrahim Mahama and Kennedy Agyapong.
Following the shooting, Suzzy has been rendered mostly blind and has not received any help from either the government or other prominent people to seek treatment either in Ghana or abroad.
In the viral video, Suzzy is heard appealing directly to the two aforementioned businessmen.
“Hon Kennedy Agyapong and Ibrahim Mahama, I beg you, please listen to my plea, I don’t have anyone to help me,” Pinamang cried out. “I’m in so much pain, I cannot even sleep. Please, come to my aid,”
Pinamang’s video went viral and led to Rafik Ibrahim, who is a special aide to Ibrahim Mahama, reaching out to secure her contact details to get her plight before the businessman.
“Kindly share her contact details with me. Please check your dm. Thanks,” Rafik commented on the video.
Following the video, Rafik got in contact with Suzy’s family and the businessman has pledged to cover all her medical expenses.
Suzzy and her family are scheduled to travel from Kumasi to Accra next Monday, where they are expected to consult with a renowned ophthalmologist, Dr. Agarwals at the Dr. Agarwals Eye Clinic.
The doctor is expected to make a determination on whether Pinamang should be treated in Ghana or sent abroad for further treatment.
Ibrahim Mahama, over the years, has carved out a reputation for helping people in distress, with stories of his deeds always flooding the media space. His donations include $25,000 for a kidney transplant for 13-year-old Rosemary Boadu, an undisclosed sum to cover the kidney treatment of a 10-year-old named Lisa, donating €5,000 to the widow of late Ghanaian content creator Adwenpahene, donating $150,000 towards the treatment of Ghanaian media personality, Kofi Adoma, after he was shot in the eye, plus more.
