The title of John Dumelo’s ‘bestie’ that was once proudly held by actress Yvonne Nelson has now been passed on, legally and otherwise, to his beautiful bride and mama of his son, Gifty Dumelo.
Gifty herself has stepped up and claimed the title with a new post on social media referring to herself as John’s bestie.
Yvonne Nelson, who for years has been besties with John, was a noticeable absentee from his wedding. Afterall they have been through over the years, Yvonne did not find the time to make it to the wedding.

Yvonne Okoro, in Nelson’s defence, said she had a ‘family emergency’ at the time.
Whatever the reason, a man and woman being ‘besties’, especially with one of them married, is not a particularly good idea (just ask Sister Derby), so Mawunya is stepping in to claim her man.
In a new post on IG, she shared a video of herself with John and captioned it: “I married my bestie.”
