Photos + The Fab & Posh Dinner With The Celebrities: Shirley Frimpong Manso, John Dumelo, Joselyn Dumas, Yvonne Okoro, Naa Ashorkor, Adjetey Anang & Others Were All There…

After years of blogging about Celebrities, I have come to realize that by default, celebrities are like computer programmes, they function in certain ways as told to do and would not under any certain terms deviate from their refined acts.

However, good company, good conversation and a little alcohol does wonders such as defiling the default programmed mindset and behaviour of celebrities, it seems to be the only mechanism to get actress Yvonne Okoro to stand up in the middle of a restaurant and laugh out hard as if she was on some LSD.

The dinner with the stars and crew of ‘Adams Apples’ together with a ticket winner from GhanaCelebrities.Com and her guest took place yesterday at a posh Bayswater restaurant.

The stunningly dressed persons who made it to the dinner were all seated at about 8pm with giggles and little chit chats amongst ourselves. The default programme was working at this stage; everybody was being ‘classy’ and low toned.

About 18 people (celebrities and non celebrities) gathered around two tables with different variety of tasteful Chinese food spinning around for everyone to dish whatever he or she wants.

Photos + My Sincere Thoughts On Adams Apples London Premiere: Great Movie But Bad & Cheap Organization, More Like My Village Community Centre Concert Organization…

Adams Apples
Ms. Shirley Frimpong Manso At London's Premiere Adams Apples

It would be absolutely absurd to re-echo how great ‘Adams Apples’ is since this has been done several times on here, precisely when the chapters were premiered in Ghana. You can click here for that.

However, I sincerely cannot depart an inch from what was said in the linked post. I perfectly understand why it is a ten chapter movie, it could perfectly pass for fifty chapter movie; the twist and suspense are enough to make you want the movie not to end.

Shirley Frimpong Manso perfectly understands what her audience want and she is exceptionally great at delivering that without any dilution. The movie is on point and the reaction from the cinema hall yesterday firmly affirms that.

The best part of all is that, the large crowd that were seated at the Odeon Cinema could relate and were headedly fixed into the movie despite the fact that the weather was terrible.

Who was in charge of the organisation for the London premiere of Adams Apples? I would be exceedingly disappointed if the person or whatsoever company that handled the premiere still has a job today.

Yvonne Okoro, Adjetey Anang & Ecow Smith Asante Slam Nudity In Local Movies On The One Show

blank

Since its debut on air the One Show on VIASAT 1 has hosted a select core of Ghana’s mainstream movie stakeholders to discuss at length possible ways of giving the industry, a facelift.

This time around Actors Adjetey Anang, AKA Pusher, Yvonne Okoro, Ecow Smith Asante; and producer Abdul Salaam Mumuni, took turns to answer questions from the show’s hosts; spanning content and new trends.

All agreed that given the gradual but impressive pace of improvement the industry is experiencing, it would be proper to adequately match that goodwill with international best practices and an equally good local system to take care of the inefficiencies. However they came down heavily on recent trends of nudity in modern Ghanaian movie.

Adams Apples Chapter 2

The ‘Wahala’ continues on Friday, 3rd June, 2011 at the National Theatre, Accra where Chapter 2 of Shirley Frimpong Manso’s ten chapter cinema movie series ‘Adams Apples’ will be premiered.

It does not matter if you have not gotten the chance to watch the 1st Chapter, though the chapters link to each other, each one can be appreciated and perfectly understood when watched; they are independent of each other as far as understanding is concerned.

You do not therefore have to watch Chapter 1 to be able to understand and enjoy the twisted connections Chapter 2 presents.

If you have already watched Chapter 1, then you have no reason to miss the premiere of the 2nd Chapter which comes with extra ‘Wahala’.

In chapter 2 of Adams Apples, the day starts off rocky for Kukua Adams as she knocks heads with her new boss over her creative prowess; meanwhile Denu takes a firm decision to let go off the past which seem to rock Kukua’s world even harder.
