Adjetey ‘Pusher’ Anang Thinks Lydia Forson, Yvonne Okoro & Nadia Buari Are Ghana’s Current Best Actresses, Not Jackie Appiah

Lydia Forson

Talented and versatile Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang, mostly known as ‘Pusher’ due to a bad boy role he played in the television series ‘Things We Do For Love’ has swerved star actress Jackie Appiah in an interview with GhanaCelebrities.Com.

He swerved the star actress for Lydia Forson, Yvonne Okoro and Nadia Buari.

Always smiling Jackie Appiah won the ‘Best Actress’ Award at the 2010 edition of the Ghana Movie Awards but Adjetey Anang regards her as a veteran and not necessarily the best actress in Ghana.

Pusher acknowledged that Jackie can be considered as a veteran but he honestly feels the best actresses in Ghana now are Lydia Forson, Yvonne Okoro and Nadia Buari.

Yvonne Okoro co-won Ghana Movie Awards’ 2010 Best Actress Award with Jackie Appiah with two other actresses. Nadia Buari on the other hand isGhana’s current Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

For Lydia Forson, Adjetey concurred that though she has not been featured in lots of movies, she is one hell of a good actress. It also seems that, she is the only one Adjetey considers as the very best of the best.

Grand Opening Of ‘Adams Apples’ Chapter 4 Is Tomorrow, Interesting But More Wahala!…You Can’t Miss Out On This!

Adams Apples Chapter 4
Adams Apples Chapter 4

Chapter 4 of Shirley Frimpong Manso’s ten chapter cinema movie series ‘Adams Apples’ will receive a Grand opening at the SilverBird Cinema tomorrow-Friday, 16th September, 2011 (8pm/9:45pm).

In Chapter 4, the story becomes very interesting with unbelievable scandals and more ‘wahala’ as ‘five different people dash marathon-style towards an emergency room, one after the other, to open up a new chapter in the busy lives of the Adams.

Jennifer plays the good friend as she accompanies Linda to a doctor’s appointment. She is rewarded with the charming Dr. Nate. Who knows? This gentleman just might be Mr. Right, instead of that school boy whom she believes “seems to have evaporated into thin air.” The vengeful Ivy however teaches Jennifer she might have spoken too soon, when she ambushes her with an unbelievable scandalous story!

An unplanned rendezvous the night before destroys Kukua’s chances with Denu, just as they are about to take the step that could wipe away the past and bring them together for good.

It’s hardly any easier for Mrs. Adams, who struggles with her conscience, at war with all common sense and advice on keeping her long-buried secret hidden. The only one for whom things seem to turn out okay is Baaba, who is working things out with her eager husband. But wait, there’s a new arrival in town- and skeletons might just start falling out of the closet.’

If you are in Accra and its vicinity and have already seen Adams Apples’ Chapter 1,2 and 3, you cannot miss out on tomorrow’s Grand opening of  Chapter 4. You surely can’t let the extra ‘Wahala and excitement’ pass you.

Remember, you do not have to see Chapter 1, 2 and 3 to be able to follow, understand, appreciate and fully enjoy Chapter 4 of Adams Apples.

Readers’ Mail: Do These Local Champions Really Think They Are Celebrities?

Confidence Haugen
Confidence Haugen

Hello Chris-Vincent,

I know your blog is called GhanaCelebrities.Com but please give me a space as a loyal reader to call a spade a spade.

You cannot imagine how livid I am after reading your post titled ‘Treat Us Like Celebrities…What About Behave Like Celebrities?

To be frank, until I came across this blog, I did not know any celebrity existed in Ghana. Even if any existed, I certainly did not think the person will come from our low-key entertainment industry.

It is annoying to see the likes of Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, John Dumelo, Majid Michel and others flaunting around as celebrities with no achievement to their names. It gets even more annoying when these talentless and no-achievers come out demanding to be treated as celebrities.

And guess the sort of treatment they are demanding? They do not want to join queues at Banks and other public places. They think they should be allowed to jump queues because they are LOCAL CHAMPIONS…

Do these so called Ghanaian Celebrities know who a celebrity is at all? Let me do some coaching here and they better pay me after this…LOL

Ghana Movie Awards’ Organizers Release Ghanaian Movie Stars At Cannes Film Festival Video Footage + What Is Wrong With Our Stars & Fake Accents…

blank

After months of waiting, the organizers of the prestigious Ghana Movie Awards have released a video footage of  the Ghanaian stars who made it to this year’s Cannes Film Festival held in France.

The video features John Dumelo, Majid Michel, Nadia Buari, Juliet Ibrahim,  Yvonne Okoro and others…In the video, the stars shared their experience, expectations and talked about the way forward for the Ghanaian Movie Industry.

The concept behind the video is great, the content is valuable but the delivery  of the content has diminished the quality and destroyed the value of the whole recording…What the HECK is wrong with some of these stars? Their STUPID and UNINTELLIGENT display of FAKE untraceable accents is disgusting and it ruins anything good they are asked to deliver.

What was Yvonne Okoro and Nadia Buari doing in the video? Those accents are stupidly FAKE and have messed the whole video up… I can’t point out the origin of those accents. They don’t sound American, British, Australian or anything…

Can’t someone tell these chicks what they are doing is totally disgusting and shameful? They sound like a Chinese, married to British, born in Germany, living in Cuba and speaking French. That is how messed up these people sound…

Did I hear Nadia Buari say they need international recognition? SCREW that girl…You cannot even recognise your own self, you are lost in your own accent and you need someone to recognise you internationally? This display of fake accents make it difficult to understand anything these people  say… Pronunciations are so so bad…All Yvonne Okoro was doing was rolling her damn tongue around saliva in her mouth…DISGUSTING!
