When I published last week that my source has confirmed to me Yvonne Nelson’s ban has been lifted after a discussion on her letter of apology took place, and all what was left was for an official statment from FIPAG to be made to that effect, many thought I was chatting rubbish.

My publication began to be doubted even more when the PRO of FIPAG Socrate Sarfo came out the next day to say that nothing has been discussed on Yvonne Nelson since they received her apology letter and as such, her ban was  still in place.(listen to attached audio for this).

According to Myjoyonline,  the man at the center of the whole Yvonne Nelson ban controversy-Abdul Salam has stated that “It is official, we are just waiting for the announcement to be made so I’m sure maybe this week or next week they (FIPAG) may announce the lifting.”

Ghanaian Actress Yvonne Nelson who is currently serving a year ban which she has on several platforms claimed not to be aware of has apologized to those concern with the hope that, her ban would be lifted. You can click here to read about the apology.

Sexy Ghanaian Actress Yvonne Nelson, who was banned from acting in Ghana and Nigeria last year October for misconducting herself on set, whiles shooting “4play Reloaded”, has finally subdued herself and rendered an official apology to producer Abdul Sallam Mumuni of Venus Films Productions and the Film Regulatory Council.

After about 9 months of redundancy and absent from the silver screen, the actress has finally decided to swallow her pride and reconcile with the producer who brought her into the movie industry. In a letter dated 14th June 2011, addressed to the President of the Film Regulatory Council, Yvonne expressed sincere regret for her actions and apologized to producer Alhaji Abdul Sallam Mumuni, members and executives of Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) and the entire film community in Ghana.

“. I render an unqualified apology for any embarrassment that my conduct might have caused anybody. I promise such a behavior will not repeat itself again”, Yvonne’s letter stated.

In the initial stages when the issue of banning the actress came up, she quietly when to Abdul Sallam’s private residence to apologize but Abdul Sallam refused to accept her apology and asked her to organize a press conference or render a public apology on radio, TV or any other public platform before he will accept her apology but the tall actress refuse.
