Yahya Jammeh has ruled Gambia since 1994, when he took over in a coup d’état. He is a staunch Muslim, brooks no dissent, and has made quite the name for himself as being intolerant of minorities such as homos*xuals.
It is absolutely a shame and a travesty that FGM exists anywhere in the world in this age, but it does; and thankfully people keep fighting this barbaric and wicked act.

The practice, where the cl*t of girls are cut off- developed in many societies to make women frigid, based on cultural or religious impositions which are almost exclusively dictated by men.
