The U.S based non-profit World Youth Opportnity Inc, founded by Ghanaian philanthropist Nafis Quaye, is set to hold its official launch later this week.
The event would be held in Worcester, Massachusetts, where the organization is based and would be graced by the presence of the Mayor of Worcester.
One of the noblest purposes of old students’ associations is to help those who have gone through the system already and made it to try and help out those coming after them.
Thus whenever old students come together and are able to carry out such an act it’s an admirable measure which ought to be applauded and encouraged.
It’s a sad fact of our existence that a lot of people who are born have to live in circumstances which are harsh, mostly not of their own choosing but that’s the reality they are forced to live with.
It’s another sad reality of life that despite the fact that they are many people who are wealthy beyond necessity, and others comfortable enough to help others if they so choose, not enough people do so, despite the moral, ethical and religious imperatives to help the less fortunate in our midst.
