Inspired by a comment a GhanaCelebrities.Com reader left today, I’ve decided to also ask; where are the freaking NPP celebrity machines?
For the past few weeks, John Dumelo has single-handedly been defining the conversation—making headlines on the back of his insane political rhetorics. And irrespective of what you think of his campaign or messages, he’s out there in our faces, people are listening to him and the blogs as well as main stream media are paying attention.
That’s what a political campaign is all about: we can disagree with his messages but we cannot deny the fact that he’s defining the conversation and people are listening to his messages, even if we deem them as superlative hogwash.
Today, Donald Trump has taken over the lead once again in America, pushing Hillary Clinton back to his tail—though many believe Trump is full of trash and his campaign has just been full of noise and nonsense.
“Donald Trump comes out of his convention ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, topping her 44% to 39% in a four-way matchup including Gary Johnson (9%) and Jill Stein (3%) and by three points in a two-way head-to-head, 48% to 45%,” CNN reported.
The Ghanaian political landscape is occupied by far moronic lunatics compared to those Trump appeals to, dangerously fragile minds and a large percentage of our electorates are illiterates—who can easily be persuaded by every nonsense, especially if backed by a celebrity power.
It’s 4 months to the general elections and the NPP seems to be still sleeping comfortably in a small pool of political elitism. Apart from their social media insults, a hallmark of desperation and intolerance and the trashing of those leading the conversation on the ticket of the NDC, the supporters of NPP who claim to be enlightened are literally not doing anything for their party and yet expect a “smooth win.”
