The Ghana Education Service have announced the placement of students who wrote this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) into numerous Senior High Schools across the country.
A statement released by the Service and dated 31st August, 2017, reveals that 92% of students who took the exams qualified to be placed into SHS across the country.

Professor Stephen Adei Calls For BECE To Be Reduced To The Four Core Subjects

The former head of the Ghana Institute of Management and Administration (GIMPA), Professor Stephen Adei, has suggested that the final exam at the Basic Level should be reduced to just the four core subjects.

WAEC Dismisses Allegations Of Exam Results Cancellation

The West African Examination Council has released a statement to debunk any rumour of a supposed cancellation of the WASSCE results of some schools.
In a statement released Thursday, signed by Mrs Agnes Teye-Cudjoe the Council stated, “emphatically that it has not cancelled any WASSCE results neither has it issued any statement to that effect.”

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) are in the crosshairs again, after three subjects out of this year’s West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) papers were leaked to students mainly in the Greater Accra and Eastern Regions.
The Oral English, Integrated Science and Social Studies papers were leaked to students by a ‘source’ between midnight and 4am of each day that the paper was supposed to be written, the Daily Graphic reports.
