The government of Kenya has authorized the release of funds for the implementation of free secondary education for its country’s citizens.
The sum of Sh 37bn (about $357,790,000) was released just a day after schools reopened across the country, fulfilling a pledge made during the election campaign by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Uhuru Kenyatta Wins Disputed Kenyan Election Run-off
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has won a disputed runoff elections which was boycotted by the opposition and is likely to face another legal challenge.
Kenyatta garnered 98% of the total votes cast, although the figure is tampered by the fact that the opposition leader Raila Odinga boycotted the polls and instructed his supporters not to vote.
