High Profile Couples That Divorced, Separated or Broke Up This Week-In Case You Missed It | Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage & Husband Too?

blank
Tiwa Savage and T Billz

Have we humans gotten to a point where we should stop worrying ourselves with marriage? I am just sick of the separations, breakups and divorces rocking the news daily.

From older Celebrity chefs Pat and Gina Neely to our very own Tiwa Savage from Nigeria who is being reported to having parted ways in work and in relationship with manager/husband-T Billz, marriage seems to be losing the battle to divorce.

Tiwa Savage and T Billz

Though not the first of the week, this one is closer to home and hits harder because they actually have the shortest marriage.

I must say this was the shocker of the week for me. Tiwa Savage and her manager/best friend/ husband rumoured separating was not a good thing to find out. As the Nigerian media widely reported, Tiwa Savage first sacked her husband as her manager and appointed someone else on claims of financial mismanagement.

Their marriage proceeded to crack based on the same allegations. The rumour mill is rife with stories that T Billz squandered Tiwa Savage’s hard earned cash after a flamboyant traditional marriage and wedding which she supposedly paid for. During their Dubai marriage, GhanaCelebrities.Com asked the question; who was paying for the expensive wedding, considering the fact that Tee Billz is unemployed, except that he parades himself as his wife’s manager.

To make things worst, he reportedly also beats her up from time to time! Apparently she thought she could deal with it since all these problems were present even while they were dating but things have gotten out of hands since they got married to a point where she has presently walked out on him—after he is said to have cheated. After just five months of marriage!!

Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner

Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner

This has been long coming because the Jenners have made it common knowledge that they have been living apart for the past one year. The two have been married over twenty years and Bruce Jenner is the second husband of Kris Jenner after the late Robert Kardashian with whom she had her first three kids. Her reasons are the usual, ‘irreconcilable differences’.

Divorce is nothing new to the Kardashian household and recently both Kim and Khloe got divorced. I guess these rampant divorces make it so hard for Kourtney and Scott to even consider marriage.

Randy Jackson American Idol Judge and Wife of 18 Years

Erika Jackson filed for divorce from Randy citing irreconcilable differences and asking for sole physical custody of their son together. Randy Jackson is yet to respond to her file but it is a surprise to many especially as these two have been married close to 19 years. What suddenly changed? Or has it been bad for more than a while without public knowledge?

Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage & Other BET Africa Nominees Performed in Front of Cleaners, Technicians & Decorators—Not REAL Crowd & The Show Was Hosted By Nadia Buari + Fally Ipupa?

Sarkdoie BET Awards performance

If you think you’ve seen or heard the worst about how BET treats and subjects African artistes to ridicule, then this may break your nerves…

Over the years, many Africans have called BET Awards organizers ‘piss takers’ and have questioned why the organisers continue to nominate African artistes and present their awards to them—back stage.

This year’s BET Awards’ organizers came up as having done something extra for the various nominated African artistes, by staging a mini concert called ‘BET Experience At LA Live’ where Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage, Mafikizolo and others performed.

The event was hosted by Ghanaian actress-Nadia Buari and Democratic Republic of Congo’s music star-Fally Ipupa.

Few days after the above event and the main BET Awards, it is being alleged that, the crowd our African top artistes performed to at the ‘BET Experience At LA Live’ was FAKE; they were Decorators, Cleaners and Technicians who were working for BET.

Everything tacky from the likes of Rihanna will find their way into Africa and considering Tiwa Savage’s recent outburst of having achieved success on a clean sheet—we find these photos unacceptable.

When will we begin to sell talent and let go the nonsense of sex sells which is greatly embedded in such tackiness?

Over the weekend, Tiwa Savage performed at Anambra for star trek and she nearly shown all her coochie—the Rihanna style!

Woman, you just got married so get yourself together and begin to make decency and talent a priority. People will still come to see because they want good music and not such tackiness of ashy bumbum…

EVENT REVIEW: Ghana ‘Beats’ Naija Again + Photos Of The MC-KOD

blank
True to its hype, the second edition of the ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ musical face-off which took place on June 30 lived up to the expectations and has consequently been rated as the biggest show the year has seen so far.
The already established cordial relationship between Ghana and Nigeria aided in this concept which gives the opportunities to artistes who have banging hits in the year from thoese two countries to showdown on one platform.
Though not a competition, it was quite glaring that, the artistes representing the home team on the red, gold and green with a black five-pointed star in the centre of the gold stripe ‘outclassed’ their counterparts who represented the green and white colours.
The away team-Naija was at a numerical disadvantage as they had only five artistes on the bill, compared to as many as ten (Buk Bak didn’t perform) from the home country, Ghana.
The two opposing DJs, Ghana’s untouchable, DJ Mensa and Nigerian’s finest DJ Nepture both had the chance to entertain patrons for close to ten minutes each by dishing out hits upon hits after couple of performances.
It’s difficult to pin-point which of them stole the night as songs played by them were received by patrons and got them on their feet dancing.
His royal blackness, DJ Black excited and teased the patrons on the time table with mixes of various genre of music.

Noise Over Artistes Billed For ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ 2012

Ghana Meets Naija 2012
Ghana Meets Naija 2012

Bola Ray and his Empire Entertainment team have created a very big brand out of nothing that is progressively and simultaneously bringing Ghana and Nigeria together to showcase Africa music to the world.
With just a year old and going into its second year, the ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ musical show has been fully embraced and endorsed by both governments of the two countries.
Ghana and Nigeria already have a cordial relationship through football matches, diplomatic and bilateral arrangements, cultural exchanges and in other areas. Beyond these, both governments believe that, music is another way of bringing them more closer together.

Following the endorsement by the two governments, GhanaCelebrities.Com has learnt that, Empire’s office has received numerous calls on daily basis from producers and label owners in other parts of Africa, so as their artistes will get the opportunity to feature on the show, a platform they see spectacular for their artistes.
Despite the pressure mounting, it is the hope that, Bola will still remain focus and won’t defeat from the core aim of the ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ brand, which is to assemble the very best of Ghana and Nigeria musicians on one platform.
The brand itself is a unifier with a sole aim of championing peace and co-existence between the two countries who have become role models to the rest on the continent.
After it’s launched, the general public received the news with mixed feelings concerning artistes billed to perform at the show slated for Saturday June 30 at the Dome of the Conference Centre. The organisers are fired up for the event and the buzz is in town.
The criteria for selection of artistes have also become a major concern for many and have since been discussed on various platforms with varied views. Some have asked why certain artistes didn’t make the cut to be on the show.
The maiden edition took place last year and it was seen as the biggest in-door event in Ghana by industry pundits. The show paraded D-Cryme, Ruff N Smooth, Efya, 4X4, Stay J, VIP, Kwaw Kese and Sarkodie, whiles the Naija brothers paraded J-Martins, 9ice, 2Face Idibia, and Naeto C.
