The Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Theresa Ayoade from all indication looks very disappointed in what Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale did at the VGMA auditorium.
After banning them, she has stated in an interview that they will leave to regret their misbehaviour that led to the destruction of a show that was being aired live on Television.
Chief Executive Officer of Charterhouse, the main organizers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Mrs Theresa Ayoade in her earlier interview disclosed that her team is planning on putting a sanction on Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy because of their stupid behaviour at the VGMA auditorium.
She said, “The industry will continue to thrive, VGMA will move to a higher level and I believe these two artistes will find a way to make peace. We will do our best to facilitate the process. We have our own rules and regulations pertaining to the VGMAS, and we will announce whatever sanction they have for both Shatta wale and Stonebwoy soon.“
Controversial Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale who lambasted organisers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse after Dancehall Diva Kaaki won “Reggae Dancehall song of the Year” in 2013 is now excited and recording videos on social media to celebrate the 8 awards he won at 2019 3Music Awards.
Shatta Wale in a tweet in 2014, stated clearly that he doesn’t need awards because he is rich with cars and houses ─Shatta Wale even recorded a diss song directed at Charterhouse for not gifting him “Reggae Dancehall song of the Year” in 2013.
The 2019 edition of the VGMAs are just around the corner and as surely as night follows day, we’re going to have disgruntled fans of various artists complaining about their artists not winning after the show is over.
In fact some artists make those complaints themselves, as we saw from a very annoyed Patapaa when he lost song of the year to Fancy Gadam at the 2018 VGMAs.
The second coming of Shatta Wale as an artist was only successful due to the number of controversies he sparked at the time.
Wale attacked anyone he perceived had pissed him off, most especially Charterhouse and their CEO, Theresa Ayoade, after he failed to receive any award at the VGMAs.
Shatta Wale has been fighting Charter House for the past few years, so that anyone would consider this question a toss up for the head of Charter House is amazing.
Yet that’s exactly the question Mrs Ayoade was asked, and she didn’t disappoint, given exactly the answer one would expect; although she ascribed it to different motives.
