After all the rumors and media reports concerning a rejected Globacom deal; Stonebwoy has come out to reveal the secrecy in the said $80,000 offer from the telecom company.
The 2015 BET ‘Best International Act, Africa’ winner says Glo approached his management with a proposal to sign him as a brand ambassador of which the deal haven’t been sealed yet···and he will accept it even if the amount involved is 1GHC…Because even that’s money.

Ghanaian Dancehall act, Stonebwouy (real name Livingstone Etse Satekla) is reported to have turned down a brand ambassadorial offer from telecommunications company – Glo.
Let me ‘expose’ the dishonesty and lies in Jay Foley’s submission which blames Africans for not coming out to support the African artistes as the reason why Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and others ended up performing in front of just 27 people made up of management, BET technicians, lighting men, camera men and perhaps, cleaners.
How will Africans know that this performance/event is going to take place when BET did not effectively advertise it, with the plausible explanation being, because BET does not really give a hoot about these artistes so they couldn’t even be bothered…
I live in the UK and watch BET occasionally, I did not come across BET advertising this event on their BET UK ‘international’ channel.
Also, BET did not advertise this event on any of the African media platforms, blogs, websites, radio stations and TV stations that we know of—if anyone knows where they advertised this, let us know.
Many had their own doubt about this—and this year, it has again emerged that Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and the others performed in front of 27 people at the ‘BET Experience’. And this 27 people were partly made up of BET cameramen, technicians and we are sure the cleaners were there to add up to the numbers as usual.
Live Fm’s Jay Foley who was at the BET with Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and others categorically stated on Starr Fm a few hours ago that; he counted the people at the auditorium and they were exactly 27, including cameramen and others…
Pretty pathetic—yet every year, our big stars run to the BET for the same experience.
When I try to put my fingers out there to fetch the real benefits our African musicians derive from this BET Awards which is clothed in unending contempt—ranging from backstage awarding which has graduated to become pre-event awarding to performing in front of just 27 people, I am unable to understand why they keep going out there…

Stonebwoy did not just have a great 2014, he’s running fast this year too and the fact that he took home the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ artiste of the year plaque should tell you that, he is on fire…
You wouldn’t catch all these 3 top Ghanaian artistes on one stage at one event so you definitely cannot miss this year’s ‘Tigo Ghana Meets Naija’ which will be held on May 23, 2015 at the Accra International Conference Centre…
Trust social media to bring out the tiny details which keep the conversations and controversy going…
According to several people on Facebook and Twitter, the winner of the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ Artiste of the Year award-Stonebwoy played politics during his acceptance speech when he ‘deliberately’ refused to mention Sarkodie’s name or thank him, for featuring on his Baafira hit song—which arguably won him all the awards.
It just have been something he forgot to do but considering Sarkodie’s position with Charter House, the organizers of the award—many social media commenters think it was not a mere coincidence that Stonebwoy forgot his key artiste’s name.
After the success of her recent self-produced movie-Devil in a Dress, actress /producer-Kafui Danku has pulled together some of Africa’s ‘trending’ actors for her new movie which employs some sort of oxymoron as its title-HAPPY DEATHDAY.
Directed by Kobi Rana of ‘Kiss Me If You Can’ fame, the movie features talented Ghanaian actress-Nana Ama McBrown, former Big Brother housemate-Elikem Kumordzie, Alex Ekubo, James Gardiner, Too Sweet, Kafui Danku and others…Perhaps, I should also mention that the movie features Ghana’s dancehall artiste-Stonebwoy (real name Livingstone Etse Satekla).
HAPPY DEATHDAY will receive a red carpet premiere on 14 November, 2014 at the SilverBird Cinemas at the Accra Mall & Weija (6:20pm and 9:20 pm)—and before the showing, a special photo session will be held to give fans the opportunity to pose with the movie stars for pictures.
In HAPPY DEATHDAY, “a group of young friends in their quest to give their mate a memorable birthday end up in massive danger. With the vice president and the law involved, only the craziest can survive. In a world of mistakes and accidents, disaster is inevitable but how do we control damage without being damaged? “
Stonebwoy came up as a possible Shatta Wale competitor but it is obvious that Shatta Wale has taken a far lead. Undisturbed by this fact, Stonebwoy is still pushing his career with singles and features…
The dancehall artistes has featured Sarkodie on his new single-Baafira and if you are a Stonebwoy fan, you will definitely like this one. He keeps it strict within the reggae/dancehall culture even with Sarkodie’s influence…
