After been away from the art and entertainment industry for almost fourteen years, Sony Achiba wants the world to know he is still not only into the music business but would be releasing an album soon.
Emmanuel John Bandick Dankwa otherwise known as Sony Achiba has been lost in the limelight after his hit song “Sony Maba”—a blend of Ghanaian Hiplife and Indian rhythm.

Sony Achiba is Hustling Abroad – Bandex Again
Just as the fracas between Sony Achiba and film/music producer Bandax seem to have been settled, the latter has come back to justify his unnecessary comments.
Speaking on Channel R’s entertainment programme today 5th Feb, 2014, Bandex was asked by host Christian Adjei Frimpong to re-state what he actually said about Sonny Achiba in recent times. “I said he washes plates but I don’t understand why this case is being stretched. I can even say he went to sweep or carry things abroad.
“When I say he sweeps it does not mean he is holding brooms and sweeping or if I say he is carrying things, it does not mean he is carrying things on his head. The guy (Sony Achiba) is struggling abroad! A lot of our musicians are struggling abroad!
Christian asked Bandex, are you saying Sony Achiba is struggling? Bandex changed his mouth and said “he is hustling! It’s a fact! Even me, I’ve hustled abroad before.” The host asked Bandex to once again apologize to Sony but Bandex was hesitant to do so but at the end of the whole interview, Sony admitted that Bandex has already apologized which he accepted so the matter should be laid to rest.
Bandex Eats Back His Own Vomit & Apologizes to Sony Achiba for Saying He Washes Plates in London for Living
Ahmed Banda known in showbiz scene as Bandex on January 25 this year said on Adom FM Entertainment programme hosted by Kojo Preko that Sony Achiba, who could not survive in the music industry, is now based in London washing plates for a living.
However, he could not provide any evidence to buttress his claim. Ghanacelebrities.Com followed up on the story by getting in touch with Sony Achiba to find out if he indeed washes plates as a means for keeping body and soul together, and if not, what reaction does he have towards Bandex’s allegation.
Angry Sony Achiba said; “there is no truth in that. In fact, I am surprised that Bandax who does not know me from anywhere will conjure such a lie about me and throw it out on a widely listened to platform like Adom Fm”
Today-Tuesday 4th Feb, 2014, Kwasi Aboagye of Peace 104.3 fm, hosted the first morning entertainment programme on Peace fm’s promising sister station, Neat 100.9 fm called ‘Entertainment Ghana.’, with young pundits, Osarfo Anthony and Halifax Ansah-Addo.
On ‘Entertainment Ghana,’ Kwasi called Sony Achiba to share his sentiments on Bandex’s remarks and he said “its unfortunate those comments came from Bandex. He is one guy I respect a lot; though we’ve met just once. Personally, I have not listened to the tape of what he said but I called Kwadwo Preko of Adom 106.3 fm and he confirmed to me that Bandex said that.
“However, I would want to give Bandex the benefit of the doubt because I suspect he might not have meant evil.” Sony used the platform to also apologize for using the words rubbish in describing Bandex’s comment. “I used those words in the heat of hearing the news the first time” Sony revealed.
Bandax Is Talking Pure Rubbish, I Do Not Wash Plates In London-Sony Achiba
According to a recent publication by Flex Newspaper, Ghanaian music and movie producer-Alhaji Banda aka Bandex on Adom Fm`s Entertainment Hall hosted by Kojo Preko Dankwah on 25th January, 2014 mentioned that Ghanaian musician-Sony Achiba is currently in London washing bowls/plates for a living…
The Newspaper quotes Bandex as saying; “Could you imagine that an artiste like Sony Achiba now works in a pantry in London, where he washes utensils? This is how our music industry has deteriorated to. Our musicians are suffering a lot and so we need to help them’’ .
GhanaCelebrities.Com reached out to Sony Achiba to establish if there was any truth in the above comment made by Bandex, as reported.
Irritated and shocked, Sony Achiba who could not believe why Bandex will pour out such a lie about him said; “there is no truth in that. In fact, I am surprised that Bandax who does not know me from anywhere will conjure such a lie about me and throw it out on a widely listened to platform like Adom Fm”.
Sony Achiba continued “I am out here in London for personal reasons and to be frank, I’ve made several musical appearances out here in London, performing at various concerts out here. Therefore, I’m not struggling when it comes to music, neither am I doing any sort of menial job out here in London”.
