England have appointed Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce as new national team coach, the Football Association has announced.
Allardyce joins on an initial two year contract, and would have the mandate of qualifying the Three Lions to the next Fifa World Cup in Russia, as well as doing much better at the tournament than his predecessor Hodgson.
