I just love Ghana for the fact that most state-owned facilities are under poor conditions; yet, new ones are being added to them each day without maintaining the old ones.
On May 11, 2015, GhanaCelebrities.Com took upon itself to visit the biggest public recreational park in the Accra Metropolis – the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park – to find out how social activities at the place were going. Upon arrival, we were shocked at what our eyes saw. The place had been totally abandoned. None of the facilities was in good state; in fact, they were all damaged to the point that they could hurt children who try to play with them.
The place keeps deteriorating each passing day but those in charge of the amusement park do not bother to maintain the place.
According to a new report from Graphic Online, President John Dramani Mahama, together with the ‘Asantehene’ – Otumfuo Osei Tutu II – will jointly commission a recreational facility in Kumasi on Friday after leaving the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park to deteriorate.
