President John Mahama and his band of merry men, whom only countryman Songo can accurately describe for us- have decided that maybe the ‘sika diee’ is too much, and it is time to make some public commitments to curbing it.
Except, even on that; the President cannot make a proper gesture. The difference between first class and business class, on the airlines that actually separate those two- is so small as to be negligible.

My name is …Evans from Ghana and currently reside in Germany. I’m a disappointed NDC member.
For the past few years since our late ex President prof Atta left us, may his soul rest in peace (what an honorable man he was), I have had sleepless night over the way your Government is handling issues of our dear country.
First of all, I commend you for your effort to build this nation through development. I have seen a couple of constructions of schools, roads, hospital and your efforts to put an end to the unprecedented energy crisis.
I highly commend you once again for your efforts in these fields.
Mr president, I have so much worry and my blood pressure keeps shooting up over the unprecedented corruption under your presidency. I think about it every day, but I haven’t been able to understand what’s really happening to our blessed country.
Sir, since you took over the most powerful office of our land, there has been hundreds of corruption under your presidency which is gradually collapsing our country.(Are you sleeping? wake up!!!!!)
Not to mention all but the few that actually shot my blood pressure up, Gyeeda,Wayome ,Brazil money (World Cup), Sada ,Judgement debt (heard of a lot I can’t recount), Kumasi airport renovation, Ghana police recruitment scam, Ameri cash flow deal, Mahama bus branding and a whole lot.
In the midst of these corruption scandals, from AMERI to bus branding and the wanton stashing of public resources into the pockets of the privileged few- it seems another one has taken place on the blind side of Ghanaians.
The government promised the building of 200 community Senor High Schools as part of improving education in the nation- and the project has commenced already with the commissioning of the first two. Magnificent edifices though they are, they might be costing us more than we actually bargained for.
Recently, we thought the word incompetent had become anathema in the NDC, after the President blew his top when the word was used to describe him.
But an NDC pressure group in the Volta Region, describing themselves as Volta Youth for Development, had no qualms applying that word to the vice president. Hypocrisy, perhaps? After all, the superior must be responsible for the foibles of his subordinates, no?
The President seems to have had a good time during his recent trip to Nigeria- coming out of the neighbouring country embossed with all sorts of honours.
Ilorin University in Nigeria conferred an honorary Honorary Doctor of Law (LL.D) Degree of the University on the Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama and the Emir of Katsina, Dr. Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.
The Offa Kingdom of the Kwara State of Nigeria has conferred an honorary chieftaincy title on President John Dramani Mahama at a ceremony at the palace of the Olofa of Offa.
The title, AARE ATOLASE OF OFFA KINGDOM, according to HRM Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II means, “HE John Mahama is the President of all others that are ensuring the nobility of this Kingdom is maintained.”
The veteran journalist and failed Parliamentary candidate, Abeiku Santana tore into the governing credentials of opposition leader Nana Akuffo Addo during an NDC rally in the Eastern region.
The President is currently on a nationwide tour to solicit support for his bid for the NDC Presidential slot, and stopped in the Eastern region for a rally.
It was just a short while ago that the Presidential press corps, who normally travel with the President were involved in an accident that left one of their number dead. Samuel Nuamah, who was laid to rest today.
And barely a month later we are hearing the President was involved in an accident. Whatever is wrong needs to be looked at, we are too laissez faire in responding to problems in this country.
At the party office on Monday to pick his nomination forms, the President was in a good mood and probably that made him say some crazy things.
According to John Mahama, the former ‘dead goat’, his government has been impressive and he expects Ghanaians to hand him another term in office in 2016.
The official President John Dramani Mahama’s twitter page has tweeted, and the message is pretty clear—the smoke coming out of the kitchen is worrying.
The social media Dumsor campaign has intensified, though, it has somewhat become an opportunity to insult and be mischievous for some people.
Being offensive or unleashing attacks in every campaign is not forbidden but such actions mostly taint the campaign so in a tweet, the president wrote; “The division in our politics is bad enough. Let it not spread to our creative industry. Let’s cease the polemics. — JM”
In effect, the president is not asking for the activism in the Creative Arts Industry to stop, he is only saying, the manner and shape in which this activism is taking place must be re-considered.
For a few days now, Ghanaians are making good use of social media, sending all manner of messages and discussing the unbearable power crisis they find themselves in—made worse by the government’s inability to honour his promise of finding a fix.

Social media has been buzzing today, with many Ghanaians throwing insults at President John Dramani Mahama for conjuring hardship from the sky and permanently planting it into their lives.
I do not get involve in Ghanaian politics—and this is simply because, policies and issues are never discussed. Instead, farfetched insults are thrown at each other for doing exactly what everyone seem to be doing in Ghana.
Nevertheless, I am a champion of common sense and logical reasoning, something most Ghanaians do not have and are scared to consider in life.
I’ve come to realize that, like other Africans, we love to point fingers at people and blame them for our problems, forgetting that we are part of the problems.
It is right to assume that because President John Mahama is the head of the nation, he has to make sure there are jobs available for you; there are good roads out there among others.
However, it is illogical and it defiles the notion of common sense when you think you deserve a job without the accompanying work ethics. You want a new road yet you cannot even maintain the old ones—people continue to dump refuse on perfectly constructed roads.
Some Ghanaians keep crying—that, they are struggling, yet they do not invest in themselves to get out of the struggle. Everyone expects the President to single-handedly lift them from their struggles. Not only that, he has to also place them at a better position and by that, they want to be driving the latest cars and afford all the latest electronics—even though they do not need them.
Finding a job as a graduate is difficult, let alone as an individual with higher education—and this is a global issue. The solution to this problem everywhere in the world is getting out of the job hunting chain and creating a job for youself.
Education used to be the key to ending poverty. Today, Entrepreneurship is the key to making an impact and getting out of the global economic hardship.

Ghana’s economy is fast going down the ditch with its citizens struggling to maintain a decent lifestyle. The president has come under several attacks since taking up the office for his lack of grasp on the economy and failing to honor the many campaign promises…
Even if we all have to come together to solve the problems of Ghana, we surely need a leader who will take realistic initiatives to kick start the solution finding exercise—and help better the lives of the ordinary Ghanaians…
