KNUST Chancellor Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Constitutes New Governing Council And Orders The Immediate Reopening Of The University- The King Has Spoken, All Must Listen

Following demonstrations and massive destruction of properties by the students of the Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science And Technology (KNUST), the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC) under the order of the government of Ghana closed down the school indefinitely.

A government delegation under the able leadership of the Minister of Education, Honourable Mathew Opoku Prempeh, disbanded the University Council and set up an interim council to see to the management of the school.

Old students of two halls of residence at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Unity and University Halls, have suggested an idea to the school management to convert the all-male halls into unisex ones as to promote silence on campus.
Management of the University has begun assigning female students to the all-male halls. The school stated the conversion is to help to grow female population of the school.

A UK-Ghanaian citizen, Mark Arthur, was placed under investigations in London for alleged money laundering. His crime – carrying out a huge cash transaction for the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Otumfuo gave Arthur £350,000 in cash in a bag and told him to deposit it at the Ghana International Bank where he worked as an executive director.
