The majority in Parliament approved the minister designate for Gender, Otiko Djaba, Tuesday night despite the minority abstaining from the vote in protest.
The NDC claimed the candidate was not qualified due to some inflammatory comments she passed against former President Mahama as well as not doing her national service, but the majority brushed aside those concerns.
