South African athlete Oscar Pistorius recently thought he was well on his way to freedom, after he was moved to house arrest, one year into his five year conviction for the involuntary murder of his then fiancée, Reeva Steenkamp.
However, Pistorius’ was then hit by a sucker punch, after the prosecution won an appeal to have his charge amended from culpable homicide to murder. This then invalidated his house arrest as he had to go back to prison.
