After the demise of the late Ghanaian dancehall songstress Ebony Reigns, few pastors and prophets in Ghana have been filling the airwaves claiming their ears are connected to God’s mouth and they can hear everything God wants to tell  ‘Ghanaian celebrities‘ and that is their destruction.
Because of this so-called revelation, some artistes who could not stand the heat came out and promised to burn churches if the prophecies about their lives do not come to pass and others also refused to accept the words from these Prophets of Doom.

Mzbel Nana Ekua Amoah | ‘Inherently Obtuse’, Pinhead, Confused or ‘Them All’?

Mzbel

The headline may seem contemptuous to some people but I am prepare to argue and throw my weight behind the position; a woman is undeserving of any scintilla of respect if she cannot respect her own self and at least those around her.

I wouldn’t be examining the social media insanity of Ghanaian musician-Mzbel under the unsettling microscope of ‘Being an African Woman’—that’s unsustainable in this era of borderlessness. And any attempt to cover it with the morality argument would come off as pretty weak, because, morality is relative.

However, the stupidity argument can’t be rejected—what’s inherently moronic does not suddenly become the fountainhead of brilliance because of a person’s physical location or timestamp of existence.

What’s dangerously pathetic and shockingly disgraceful can’t be ignored by reasonable persons and if an individual within the confines of absolute stupidity is aggressively supported by friends–then we have a bigger problem. It’s as though we’ve gotten a cohort of imbeciles to pump sense into their weak brains.

I’ve always known Mzbel was struggling and confused as to the direction of her long dead career—but to be frank, I never thought having been born into a generation of enlightenment, plain stupidity such as what her recent shared social media photo denotes would ever become part of her unending legacy of controversies, mostly unnecessary.

A mother of one who claims to have adopted two other children she is training, at this stage let’s say rearing to become human beings—wakes up in the morning and pulls off her panties, opens her legs and take a shot. Then proceeds to post it on instagram with a smile as though she has just been offered a full scholarship to Harvard to share the same cubicle with Mark Zuckerberg.

Ghanaian musician-Mzbel (real name Nana Ekua Amoah) says her recent Jesus Christ comment which got many people talking has somewhat affected the play of her latest single-Legelege. And that, even though the personal attacks have died down, she does not understand why the host of the show was not the one to receive the attacks, rather her…

She told Graphic Showbiz in an interview that the host of the show on which she appeared to make that particular comment-Restoration With Stacy used her to promote her show. Apparently, she told the host to edit her comments after the interview knowing how most intolerant Ghanaians would react to her brutal comments but the host and her people ignored the request, so to get ratings for the show…

“She is one of my close friends who knows that I don’t believe in Jesus Christ. I believe only in the God of Israel.  She knew I would say no before asking me the question; it was like an ambush and she used that bit to promote the show to draw attention to it,’’ Mzbel said.

Narrating what happened, the musician said, “when I appeared on the show, I was asked by Stacy whether I believed in Jesus Christ and I said no because I have done my own research and I believe that the story of Jesus Christ was made up.’’

One of the hardworking Hiplife artistes, Mzbel has opened up to what she sees as unfair treatment from the  Ghanaian media.
From a humble beginning to now as an established and successful artiste, Nana Ekua Amoah ‘Mzbel’ has had to deal with several stories and scandals ranging from her supposed provocative dressing on stage, being raped and currently news of allegedly slapping a uniformed Police Officer on duty.

She bemoaned the calculated attempt to always report negative stories about her. According to her, she wonders why she is never asked of her side of any story.
