On Tuesday 22nd May, 2011 at the Banquet Hall of the State House, Miss Ghana 2012 was launched in the presence of Miss World 11-Ivian Sarcos and the Miss World Team. Same night, a Charity Ball was held to raise funds to help Miss Ghana 2010, Stephanie Karikari’s on-going charity project.

Miss World Team Visits Central Regional Minister…
The Miss World team, led by Executive Chairwoman of the Miss World organization Julia Morley has paid a courtesy call on the Central Regional Minister Ama Benyiwa Doe.
The visit formed part of a five-day working visit by the delegation, which also includes Miss World 2011 Ivian Sarcos and her two runner-ups Miss Puerto Rico and Miss England to Ghana, to support the Beauty With a Purpose project by Miss Ghana 2010 Stephanie Karikari.
The team were welcomed by some queen mothers of the traditional area including Nana Ama Amissah of the Mankessim traditional area, Nana Aba Afariwa III, Nana Esi Gyasiwaa, some regional executives of the NDC and Kwame Oppong, Secretary to the Regional Minister.
Miss World Team Arrives In Ghana Today!
Ghana prepares to host for the very first time in the history of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant, Ivian Sarcos, the 22 year-old winner of the 2011 edition of the most prestigious beauty pageant on earth, Miss World.
Sarcos and the Miss World team arrive at exactly 8:20pm, and would be met on arrival by Stephanie Karikari, Miss Ghana 2010 and joint winner of the Miss World Beauty With a Purpose, as well as officials of Exclusive Events Ghana, organizers of the Miss Ghana event. There will be a short press briefing at the VIP Lounge of Kotoka International Airport, afterwards.
The Venezuelan is accompanied on her five-day visit which begins on the 19th and ends on the 23rd, by a 15-member Miss World team, comprising of the first and second runner ups from the Philippines and Puerto Rico, Miss World Europe, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Miss World organization Julia Morley, and some members of the international press among others.
Sarcos and her team are in Ghana to support Stephanie Karikari, Miss Ghana 2010 winner and joint winner of last year’s Miss World Beauty with a purpose, to launch her project, as well as to attend the launch of the 2012 edition of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant event, as well as the Miss World Charity Ball, which comes off on Tuesday May 22, at the Banquet Hall of the State House.
