Menaye Donkor, Ghanaian model, entrepreneur, philanthropist and wife of AC Milan footballer Sulley Muntari, is leading the search for Ghana and Nigeria’s next top fashion designer as the lead judge on the new reality TV series, ‘Fashion Power’.
Menaye, who was crowned Miss Ghana Universe 2004 and has since worked with many acclaimed international fashion designers, will use her experience, knowledge and connections in the fashion world to help to guide budding fashion designers through a series of tasks where they will showcase their skills and talents in the hope of being crowned the winner of Fashion Power 2012.
In the 13 series reality show, the 12 contestants between the ages of 18 and 35 will battle it out in the competition to make their dream come true and ultimately launch their career as a fashion designer.

On the face of it, one may consider it as a huge admiration if he/she is told to be too perfect to be an African. However, if you give it a deep smart thinking, what does this statement suggest?
It even gets worse if it is followed by a positive action to take away an opportunity or privilege from you.
Some of us may think that as people, we have come a long way shaped by education, laws, religion, morals and above all our love for each other as humans to the extent that discrimination/unfair comments such as this has become a practice of the past.
I do not simply detest suggestive discriminatory comments because of its illegality, but any action or omission by another founded on sex, race, religion, colour, ethnicity, sexual orientation which undermines the dignity, respect and the whole existence of another is a defeat to our claim as highly intelligent primates.

Last Sunday December 25, Event Factory and DuncWils Event organised a show for the fastest rapper in Ghana current. The show dubbed ‘Sarkodie  Rapperholic – Live In Concert’ had various artistes come on board to support.

Sarkodie worked with the following Efya, Sherifa Gono, Tinny, Kwabena Kwabena, Chidima, Ikechukwu, K.K. Fosu, Jay So, Reel, Lighter, Castro, Obrafour and Muggeez [R2Bees] on his 16 track album ‘Rapperholice’.

Artistes featuring on the album includes Kaywa, Jay So, Gafaci, Oteng, Hammer, Kamenye, Coptic, Killbeat and Red Eye…
