Pressure Group CitizenGhana Movement Sues Attorney General For Failing To Retrieve The Ghc 51.2m Woyome Judgement Debt
The advocacy group CitizenGhana Movement (CGM) has filed a suit against the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong- due to her failure to retrieve Ghc 51.2m from Woyome.
The money, the so-called judgement debt which was paid to the businessman, had been ordered retrieved by the Supreme Court since July 2014- yet the state’s coffers has not seen the money despite several promises from both quarters concerning its retrieval.
Attorney General Submits Report On Branded Buses Fiasco To Chief Of Staff
The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Marrietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, has submitted to the Chief of Staff her report on the Ghc 3.6m branding saga that has engulfed the country lately.
The saga involves branding 116 commercial buses which were acquired to augment the fleet of the Rapid Bus Transport system in the capital. Each bus was branded with the likeness of former Presidents of the Republic, and somehow that cost the taxpayer Ghc 3.6m.
