Ghanaian actress/producer Luckie Lawson is a year older today–and we are joining her various friends to wish her a happy birthday.

Luckie Lawson used to be a household name in the Ghanaian movie industry about 5 years ago but she seems to have since then disappeared–on becoming a mother.

She relocated to United States briefly and her return has been a quiet one–we can’t even remember the last time we saw her in any hit movie.

Actress-Yvonne Okoto premiered her second self-produced movie-‘Ghana Must Go’ on January 2, in Accra—and though movie premieres have not been attracting large patronage in recent times, Yvonne Okoro’s new movie proved otherwise.
The movie premiere recorded a very large number of movie patrons than ever—to the extent that Silverbird officials had to stop selling tickets during the red carpet ceremony as there were no more spaces available in all the 6 cinema halls.
“Thanks to everyone that turned up for Ghana Must Go …it was so insane sold out premiere,” Yvonne said on social media the next day after receiving congratulatory messages from contented patrons.
Apart from Yvonne Okoro, Luckie Lawson, Lydia Forson, EL, Nkem Owoh and several showbiz personalities attended the premiere.

Actress-Yvonne Okoro promises movie enthusiasts a lot of excitement and laughter as she gets ready to release her latest romantic comedy, Ghana Must Go in January.

The new movie will premiere at the Silverbird Cinemas on January 2 and subsequently in some other African countries.

‘Ghana Must Go’ is Yvonne’s Desamour Company Limited second movie production after its successful Contract movie.

It stars; Yvonne Okoro, Kofi Adjorlolo, Luckie Lawson, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Nkem Owoh and a host others.

It will be premiere at both Silverbird Cinemas at West Hills Mall and Accra Mall at a cool GHȼ40 and free popcorn.
