Seasoned media practitioners veering into politics has become something of a fad these days, with the recent parliamentary primaries of both major parties seeing some interesting additions to the political scene.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Kwame Dzokoto, for starters, both won their primaries, whilst several others also won or lost their bids to join the state legislature in next year’s elections.
The one and only Chairman of the airwaves, Kwame Sefa Kayi is a boss at his job, but then it seems so was this fraudster.
A Business man Papa Poku Sarpong has been arraigned before court for allegedly defrauding Kwame Sefa Kayi of $45,600. The businessman was given the sum to purchase two 4×4 vehicles for the broadcast journalist, according to the Ghana News Agency.
According to Myjoyonline.com report, Ace broadcaster, Kwami Sefa Kayi says the policy of paying TV license fee being advocated by the Ghana Media Commission is not the solution to the woes of the national broadcaster, Ghana Broadcasting Company (GBC).
“There is too much wastage in GBC…there is a lot of waste in GBC and no one is doing anything about it…George Sarpong knows the fundamental problem with GBC, it is not about collecting TV license…,” Sefa Kayi said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Programme on Tuesday.

In this task ace broadcaster, Kwame Sefa Kayi had a close-up interaction with the ladies in groups of four. The series was recorded at the Aphrodisiac Night Club in an ambiance of relaxation.
