Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as KABA was born at Anyinam in the Eastern Region on 20th October,1980 to the late Mr. Kwabena Bempong Acheampong (Ekorna Clan-Anyinam) and Madam Felicia Asabea Ampenyin (Aduana Clan-Akwamu Adumasa). KABA was the only child of his mother.
He started his primary Education in 1986 at Osino Ayim Academy Preparatory School in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region.

It was reported that Ohemma Woyeje attributed the sudden demise of KABA to a female colleague who she believed killed KABA with frustrations.
Radio and Television personality Afia Pokuaa (Vim Lady) has alleged that his colleague, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, also known as KABA who’s sudden demise came as a shock to the general public last Saturday, did not die a natural death but rather was killed by someone using Juju.
Afia Pokuaa took to her Facebook page on Wednesday and wrote: “Why do we use juju and evil means to kill each other and undermine each other when we came individually?”.
Her post has since received mixed reactions from her followers for the simple fact that the photo which accompanied the post did not depict the true mourning state of someone who has lost a loved one. The authenticity of her allegation has also been doubted and questioned with some advising the seasoned journalist to produce only true and verified contents.
The loudmouthed journalist even though did not mention the supposed perpetrator of the crime but then concluded with the question; “Why? Did God create anyone for anybody? WHY ARE HUMANS THAT EVIL?”
Asempa FM presenter KABA had received admission to commence his master degree studies a few weeks before his death, it has been revealed.
Chief Operating Officer of the Multimedia Group, Kenneth Ansah, revealed whilst speaking at the presenter’s memorial service that he had approached his bosses to inform them about this new challenge he was taking on in his life.
