The Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) network completed a near clean sweep of awards at the recently held Pan-African Enterprise and Achievers Awards night.
EIB network was adjudged the ‘best media firm of the year’, completing another award win for the young but vibrant media conglomerate.

The President, John Dramani Mahama, conferred the highest national awards on 33 distinguished personalities last Friday at a state organised function.
The highest award of the land, the Companion of the Order of the Star of the Volta, was handed out to 15 personalities by the President.

Rapper Sarkodie beat off stiff completion from fellow entertainers to pick up the Entertainer of the Year award at the first ever Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) awards.

A night of celebrating consistent achievers, motivational speeches and a fantastic gathering of British Ghanaians perfectly sums up the GUBA 2015 awards ceremony.
The Hilton Metropole Hotel, Edgware Road, London, was host to this year’s Ghana UK Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards which saw dignitaries such as the Former First Lady of Ghana – Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, Ghana High Commissioner to the UK- HE Victor Smith, Mayor of Royal Borough of Greenwich – Norman Adams, Councillor John Fahy, Lord Hastings, Kwesi Kwarteng MP, Diane Abbott, and Baroness Doreen Lawrence.
The Kingston University Choir of the University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY), founded by former GUBA winner- Lorraine Wright, set the tone of the night with a melodic rendition of the Ghana National Anthem. They were shortly followed by Comedian Simply Andy who gave a comedic delivery to the audience. Journalist Afua Hirsch and Media Personality Kwame Sefa Kayi were the hosts on the night.
The former First Lady of Ghana – Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings graced the stage to present the Pioneering Director Award to Amma Asante. An advocate for female empowerment, Mrs Rawlings stated: “As African women, we have held our continent together. We have transformed our continent” whilst expressing delight and admiration of the work of Amma Asante. Amma Asante dedicated her award to her father, whilst reflecting on the difficulty of success within the media industry – “I hope that my story is an inspiration for all” she concluded.
On receiving the Business Entrepreneur Award, Nana Kwame Bediako asserted the need for improvement in Ghana “We will work hard to change our country, to change Africa and to effect change – he concluded. Dr Kwabena Duffuor shared similar sentiments in his acceptance speech urging the audience that “we need to work to develop a country that our children will be proud to call their own.”
