The newsroom of Starr 103.5 FM has been named after internationally acclaimed Ghanaian journalist, Komla Dumor, who worked with the BBC until his untimely death in January.
The ‘Komla Dumor Newsroom’ was commissioned by the father of the late journalist, Professor Ernest Dumor, former Presidential Advisor and Chairperson of the Komla Dumor Foundation, Mrs Mary Chinery-Hesse, veteran actress and deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Dzifa Gomashie and the CEO of Starr FM Kwabena Anokye Adisi, Thursday.
Expressing her heartfelt appreciation to Starr FM, Chairperson of the Komla Dumor Foundation, Dr. Mrs. Chinery-Hesse expressing her heartfelt appreciation challenged journalists to emulate the high standards set by the late broadcaster.
“His onerous voice, his sense of humor, the way he managed to package message caught attention and retained attention.
