Actress-Christabel Ekeh also rocked a knee length bodycon with African print detailing. She matched this modest outfit with white heels and red ankle straps.
***Kafui Danku made one of the mistakes most Ghanaian celebrities make on red carpet, holding onto her car key and other stuff (photo below will show that)***
“You do not hold your ‘goddam’ mobile phone even if it is a Blackberry sent from heaven on the red carpet. What is the use of the bag or clutch you are holding then?
You do not hold your car keys or house keys on the red carpet. That is really ‘BUSH’. We don’t really care if you live with your parents or own a house on the red carpet”.

I’ve not met Kafui Danku before but I spoke to her the last time I was in Ghana. We were supposed to meet up but I was flying off the same day so the meeting had to be cancelled.
From the minutes I spent on the phone with Kafui Danku (plus what I know about her), she comes across as a smart determined person and with Samira Yakubu being her current manager, I have been waiting for her to take over as the next big Ghanaian film star.
This is why I am extremely shocked and to some extent disgusted by her recent ‘business decision’ as the face of a pageant which calls itself ‘Miss Fair & White’. Kafui Danku was over the weekend crowned Miss Fair & White 2014…
Miss F&W is reported to be an initiative surrounding Fair and White Gold, a beauty product which is “designed to tone and protect the skin from the direct sun rays”. Take note of the words beauty product and tone—and you know where this is heading.
‘Fair & White’ products are for skin lightening/bleaching and that is the plain TRUTH!
In my estimation, this is all about; a company that sells bleaching/toning products seeking to gain sales by organizing a beauty pageant (probably to encourage bleaching which we now refer to as lightening/toning) and rising star Kafui Danku is proud to be associated with it.
I am sure every rational person can see where this is heading by just considering the name of the product, the pageant and what the product does. What is Fair & White? Simply google; Fair & White Beauty Products’ and see for yourself…
Is this where we are going with the fight against skin bleaching/toning?
Two years ago, it was reported that black women in the United States alone spend half a trillion dollars on their hair each year…
Surely, the figure must be higher now and if we add the amount we spend on hair down here in Africa, the amount will be sky rocking.
Our Ghanaian Celebrities have different fashion taste and they put in a lot of work to make sure they look decent and different all the time.
But one thing they all seem to have in common is-WEAVE. Some of them cannot leave it behind and as we all know, it is not always about how expensive the weave is but whether you have the face for it or not.
From our archive, we’ve selected some of your favourite celebrities wearing their Brazilian or whatever weave and the question is; who has that perfect face for what she is wearing?
