Ghana Movie Awards’ Organizers Release Ghanaian Movie Stars At Cannes Film Festival Video Footage + What Is Wrong With Our Stars & Fake Accents…

blank

After months of waiting, the organizers of the prestigious Ghana Movie Awards have released a video footage of  the Ghanaian stars who made it to this year’s Cannes Film Festival held in France.

The video features John Dumelo, Majid Michel, Nadia Buari, Juliet Ibrahim,  Yvonne Okoro and others…In the video, the stars shared their experience, expectations and talked about the way forward for the Ghanaian Movie Industry.

The concept behind the video is great, the content is valuable but the delivery  of the content has diminished the quality and destroyed the value of the whole recording…What the HECK is wrong with some of these stars? Their STUPID and UNINTELLIGENT display of FAKE untraceable accents is disgusting and it ruins anything good they are asked to deliver.

What was Yvonne Okoro and Nadia Buari doing in the video? Those accents are stupidly FAKE and have messed the whole video up… I can’t point out the origin of those accents. They don’t sound American, British, Australian or anything…

Can’t someone tell these chicks what they are doing is totally disgusting and shameful? They sound like a Chinese, married to British, born in Germany, living in Cuba and speaking French. That is how messed up these people sound…

Did I hear Nadia Buari say they need international recognition? SCREW that girl…You cannot even recognise your own self, you are lost in your own accent and you need someone to recognise you internationally? This display of fake accents make it difficult to understand anything these people  say… Pronunciations are so so bad…All Yvonne Okoro was doing was rolling her damn tongue around saliva in her mouth…DISGUSTING!

Juliet Ibrahim And Family
Juliet Ibrahim And Family

Very recently, an article was published on GhanaCelebrities.Com discussing why the Ghana Movie Industry has no child stars. GC readers discussed this issue at length. I decided to contact ‘Juliet Ibrahim’ one of our own celebrities on this issue.

She found the topic interesting and something that needs much attention. Today I present to you the chit chat I had with Actress Juliet Ibrahim:

GhanaCelebrities.Com: First of all who is Juliet Ibrahim and how did she become a movie star?

I can be described as the girl next door, am down to earth, friendly, fun to be with; once you get to know me, I am easy going, lovable, determined, straightforward and a jovial person.

I could go on and on with the list but I don’t think its necessary lol. I am married and the proud mother of Jayden Kofi Safo, my son. I come from a family of 4 kids of which I am the eldest.

I am a movie star today because I was destined to be. It all happened when I auditioned and was chosen for a role in the movie crime to Christ, since then; I am listed and counted amongst the top best 10 out of Ghana. It’s a privilege to be appreciated by so many fans around the world today.

GC Exclusive: Nadia Buari & Abdul Salam Mumuni Speak On Cannes Red Carpet Saga + John Dumelo Talks About The Whole Cannes Arrangement…

Majid Michel, Nadia Buari and Others On Red Carpet, Cannes
Majid Michel, Nadia Buari and Others On Red Carpet, Cannes

After yesterday’s post titled ‘Ghanaian Celebrities Were Not Recognised At Cannes Film Festival & Therefore No Red Carpet For Them, It Was All Lies…’  which highlighted on certain issues raised by Actress ‘Juliet Ibrahim’ with the visit our celebrities made to the recently ended Cannes Films Festival ( especially the Red Carpet Saga), I decided to contact the various Ghanaians who were in the red carpet photos to hear their side of the story.

In the photos (as seen above) were Nadia Buari, Majid Michel, Fred Nuamah, Alhaji Abdul Salam and Susan Peters. Automatically, I crossed out Mr. Fred Nuamah. As the Organizer of the trip and the person placed at the centre of these allegations; I was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that, he would definitely cook for me some sweet story to ‘exonerate’ himself.

I reached out to Nadia Buari with two principal questions in mind. Was there a real (not fake) red carpet and how did the whole red carpet walk come about since Juliet Ibrahim who was part of the delegation to France has stated inter alia that, the red carpet walk is extremely questionable.

Nadia Buari who was on set shooting a movie gave a good reception for the second time to GhanaCelebrities.Com. Trust me, I had prepared my screaming voice and was ready to scream if she had given me a shout. LOL.

On the issue of the red carpet walk at Cannes, Nadia emphatically stated that, it was a real red carpet and they actually did walk on it. Do you think this will be enough for me? I then asked, why then is Juliet Ibrahim, who was part of the delegation to France seems to suggest that the whole red carpet walk is a dust you guys are trying to throw at us.

Ghanaian Celebrities Were Not Recognised At Cannes Film Festival & Therefore No Red Carpet For Them, It Was All Lies…

Majid Michel, Nadia Buari and Others At Cannes
Majid Michel, Nadia Buari and Others At Cannes

Somewhere last week, I had a long separate chit chats via phone with Actress Juliet Ibrahim and Mr Fred Numah (Founder/CEO of Ghana Movie Awards) when they were in France for the Cannes Film Festival.

During our conversation, Juliet Ibrahim who could not believe a false story that was published on our celebrities having been on a red carpet at Cannes expressed her dissatisfaction and shock about the entire Ghanaian- Cannes visit arrangement.

From what I gathered from my convo with Juliet Ibrahim as to what was really going on at Cannes as far as our celebrities were concerned , it seemed our stars namely Nadia Buari, Juliet Ibrahim, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro,  Majid Michel, John Dumelo and others who were sponsored by the Ghana Movie Awards to the film festival had nothing scheduled for them out there.

They cheaply jumped on planes and went there to walk about as tourists or persons who had come to see the Hollywood stars… Even tourists have aims for visiting places, our celebrities were purely aimless.

It was therefore a big shock to Juliet Ibrahim to have read that, some Ghanaian celebrities out there in Cannes had graced the red carpet. Apart from the issue of red carpet, Juliet Ibrahim also pointed out that, she was not pleased with the way things were arranged for them.  There was no hotel rooms reserved for them and they did not have any planned means of transport.  Our stars jumped in and out of trains and taxis as if they were ‘I and I’…
