Evelyn okayed Jihad’s sentence saying that she has no problem with the sentence duration and that she’s moving on.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Marwako, Mohammed Amin Lamptey, has accused the judge who adjudicated the assault case of Jihad Chaaban of religious animus, indicating that her hatred of Islam contributed to the verdict.
Chaaban was jailed nine months for assaulting Evelyn Boakye, a then employee of the fast food joint – but Lamptey believes the judgement was based on trial judge Justice Victoria Ghansah’s fear and hatred of Muslims.
