John Dumelo and the Other Ghollywood Actors are Only Known at Legon While the Kumawood Ones Are Known Far & Beyond-Says Mr. Beautiful

The battle for supremacy between the two sides of the Ghanaian movie industry-Kumawood and Ghollywood lives on, with a statement by Kumawood actor-Mr Beautiful (real name Clement Bonney) indicating that Kumawood is winning the fight.

On Peace Fm’s Entertainment Review yesterday, Mr. Beautiful stated among other things that, the Kumawood actors are far popular than the Ghollywood actors. Therefore, the Ministry of Sports having picked John Dumelo and Jackie Appiah as ambassadors for the 2014 World Cup without any Kumawood actor having been considered was a big WRONG move.

Mr. Beautiful mentioned that, he does not see any reason why actors like Lil Win, Kwaku Manu, Kyeiwaa and others were not picked or considered, rather two English speaking actors-John Dumelo and Jackie Appiah were chosen.

Though we cannot actually point out which is the Gucci, H&M or the Old Navy—Juliet Ibrahim is rocking these 3 brands, at least that is what she tells us when she shared the photo…

Interestingly, Juliet Ibrahim who has a good taste for fashion loves the high and low brands and even mixes them in, just as she seems to have done.

Not long ago, Juliet Ibrahim was blasted by fans for shopping at H&M. Following the criticism, she blasted a photo of herself pulling a travel case LV bag—indicating that she shops at the expensive brands corner too.

The 10^th edition of the African Movie Academy Awards took place in Bayelsa State, Yenagoa in Nigeria on Saturday and as usual, several movie stars on the continent graced the event…

Jackie Appiah, Joselyn Dumas, Shirley Frimpong Manso, Adjetey Anang, Lydia Forson and other Ghanaians flew into Nigeria to be part of the event.

At the event, Shirley Frimpong Manso’s Potomanto won AMAA’s Achievement in Editing for Ghaan while the Achievement in Production Design went to Northern Affair… CLICK HERE for full list of winners.

Last week, actress Yvonne Nelson joined the many instagram users who pose in bathrooms/restrooms to take sexy shots—and to be frank, she was looking hot under that blond weave.

Jackie Appiah and Joselyn Dumas also attended the 2014 AMAA in Nigeria and they all shared photos—to show their fans what they rocked!

Sandra Ankobiah who is currently in USA shared a photo from her hotel room and that single picture fetched her more that she probably bargained for…

Several online ‘commenters’ threw stones at her, saying, she was just in the USA (expenses paid by some Minister or footballer) ahead of the Black Star football match—and that she will pay back whoever was footing the bill by providing some services…

That was really MEAN of those commenters!

Do not ask me what sort of appearance Christabel Ekeh was trying to pull in the above photo—because all I know is that, she looks like a disaster in that photo. And this is shocking, considering the fact that Christabel has a bit of style taste, compared to several of her colleagues…

Also, Yvonne Okoro for once decided to show us her natural hair and I was expecting to see her natural eye lashes too. But she still couldn’t let go her signature eye lashes—which some people say, she doesn’t look anything like we know her for without them.

It looks like this is show you separate the goodies from the chaff—by making the expensive purchases and even showing us when you are about to buy it.

Jackie Appiah has over the years shown and accepted her shopping addiction. And when it comes to her shopping, she definitely goes all out to make sure she is getting the real deal instead of the many ‘fakies’ that the other celebrities settle for.

I guess it is a matter of ‘if you have the cash, blow it up’…

Also, it seems the #BringBackOurGirls campaign has become a fever and not has only celebrities all around the world joined in, Ghanaian actress-Nanan Akua Addo and friends staged a protest in Ghana few days ago—holding #BringBackOurGirls placards.

The question people have been asking on social media is; are these #BringBackOurGirls photos going to really do anything more than celebrities just looking for attention for themselves?

While John Dumelo and other actors are working on a Dr. Kwame Nkrumah movie in Ghana, Jackie Appiah was blown away by the fact that she had the opportunity to meet in person Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda, the first President of Zambia…

We are told John Dumelo is starring in a Kwame Nkrumah movie—and we just pray they don’t mess the story up for us…John seems to be excited about his role in the movie. He shared a photo from set with the message “the year is 1957. 2 months before independence. The people of Gold Coast are excited…..Nkrumah is ready to transform the enslaved colonial economy into an economically liberated one. #Documentary#newmovie”.

It is not all the time that you get the opportunity to be invited to the residence of such a political figure of another country, so we guess they had every right to feel honoured.

Joselyn Dumas and Jackie Appiah took to their instagram pages to give fans today’s dose of their celebrity-ness. While Jackie Appiah was showing her expensive Peruvian hair which she seems to love so much, Joselyn Dumas was putting her face without any make-up or filter on display for all to see…

Surely, not all celebrities can show their faces without make-up and to think about it, Joselyn looks good without makeup. For Jackie, I just wish I can steal that weave off her hair for my friend’s upcoming birthday…

Apart from the fact Fred Nuamah and Jackie Appiah have almost equal chest weight in on of the photos, it was a pretty decent week as our favourite celebrities shared with us in photos what they’ve been up to.

John Dumelo and Majid Michel shared a photo of the two of them being the boys that they can be sometimes—and John had another silly selfie with other colleague actors.

Eazzy says she had a photoshoot in what looks like an ‘lingerie set’ at Alisa Hotel in Accra and she also shared a photo…

Star actress-Jackie Appiah, her manager-Samira Yakubu and actor-Prince David Osei left the Republic of Rwanda where they visited for a movie premiere few hours ago for Malawi, the next stop of their movie premiere tour…

While in Rwanda, the Ghanaian stars among others met with Rwanda’s Minister of Culture—and we guess, they talked about Ghana’s Movie industry and the emerging Rwandan movie industry too.

It looks like we will see more of Jackie Appiah and Prince David Osei this year—as the two have been spotted working on several productions…And those who said Jackie Appiah has not worked on the tummy, you get to see well for yourself her almost flat belly.

Eazzy must be loving the black jumpsuit in the hot Ghanaian weather—making us ask; how does she cope with it? But she looks FAB in it so we cannot complain much.
