A few days ago Joy News’ Israel Laryea took a walk around the London location of Menzgold’s office, filmed a couple of shots and called it a report.
The entire ‘report’ was more of a ‘hit piece’ than an objective news story and to no one’s shock Ghanaians widely derided the video and Laryea became the butt of jokes online.

Even when I am out of the country, I monitor keenly via their online portal or on the tunein radio APP. I am a business man with interests in shipping, exports and imports and general international trade. But I am also a trained journalist with a degree in journalism from GIJ and a lot of friends in the media who I know agree with what I am about to say but will not dare or cannot say it for one reason or the other.

Israel Laryea left Ghana all the way to the UK, spending his employer’s money to embarrass himself and them when he could just as well have sat in his boxer shorts and gotten the relevant information online.
Israel Laryea wanted to prove that Menzgold’s London offices were a sham, based on his misconceptions of the current Menzgold-SEC brouhaha, thus he decided to travel there to do some reporting; then ironically failed to do any proper investigative reporting aside asking some really shallow questions.
