Bola Ray (real name Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi), the CEO of Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network, owners of Starr FM, Kasapa Fm, Live Fm and several other media outlets has been honored with the the 2015 GUBA Media and Entertainment Award.
A well deserving honor, Bola Ray who attended the 5th edition of the annual GUBA Awards was full of excitement—and dedicate his award to his strong business partner-Dr Kwabena Duffour as well as the staff of the EIB Network.
“This award is to a man I have come to respect so much. I call him daddy now; Dr Duffour. It’s been 17 years of struggling. This is to tell people that it is possible,” Bola Ray said.

The definition of a triple bottom line, is a business that addresses people, planet and profit. They have a strong commercial foundation as well as a significant social and environmental impact.
The Future 100 Awards recognises the success of young entrepreneurs aged 18-35 who demonstrate entrepreneurial flair and innovation in progressing a responsible business venture.
This Sunday, London will again play host to the esteemed GUBA Awards. The red carpet will be rolled out and the Park Plaza Embankment will house some of the UK and Ghana’s shining stars. A plethora of guests have already confirmed their attendance to the event founded by Dentaa last year.
Ellen Thomas will be hosing alongside Ras Kwame. The Eastenders’ actress and former BBC Radio presenter will take guests through a extravagant award ceremony.
In attendance will be Arsenal quartet Emmanuel Frimpong, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Daniel Boateng and Chuks Aneke. All four players have enjoyed much success this year with Frimpong and Oxlade-Chamberlain both making first team appearances in the league while Boateng and Aneke made League Cup appearances.
The GUBA Awards launched yesterday in spectacular fashion. Esteemed guests were welcomed to the Ghana High Commission to launch the second annual Ghana UK Based Achievement Awards.
His Excellency the Ghana High Commissioner opened proceedings and a heart filled address from GUBA’s first lady’s and CEO Dentaa followed.
Kwasi Kyei Darkwah MA better known as KKD received an early honours for his contribution to the Ghanian community for over 25 years. The award was Presented by the Ghana High Commisioner himself.
Guests included GUBA judge Charles Thompson MBE, KKD and Ghana Black Stars Emmanuel Frimpong and Michael Essien.
