Ghanaian politics is this beautiful, dynamic thing where no one is really required to hold onto a position by principle, but simply based on whether they are in power or in opposition.

Catholic Bishop Conference – Gitmo 2 Should Be Sent Back To US
The Catholic Bishops Conference has called for the Gitmo 2 to be sent back to the US on the back of the Supreme Court decision ruling their stay unconstitutional.
President of the Conference, Reverend Philip Naameh, said in light of the ruling, the pair cannot continue their stay in Ghana.
Sack Gitmo 2 Immediately! – Kwesi Pratt Jnr.
Kwesi Pratt Jnr., the managing editor of the Insight newspaper, has called on government to send the Gitmo 2 back to the United States immediately.
Speaking on Kokrokoo on Friday, Pratt said per the Supreme Court decision, the stay of the duo in the country is unconstitutional and should be remedied immediately.

Government has responded to Thursday’s landmark Supreme Court ruling with a statement, acknowledging the ruling and its directives.
The statement, signed by Information Minister Mustapha Hamid, says government has ‘taken notice’ of the judgement, whilst also reassuring Ghanaians that the Gitmo 2 are comporting themselves and remain under surveillance.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the decision of ex-President John Dramani Mahama to receive the so-called Gitmo 2 into the country was unconstitutional.
In a verdict delivered Thursday, the country’s highest court, by a 6-1 decision, ruled the agreement with the US gov’t contravened Article 75 of the 1992 constitution.
Supreme Court Fails To Rule For The Second Time On Gitmo 2 Case
The Supreme Court failed to rule once again on the legality or otherwise of the decision of the former government to accept two former inmates of Guantanamo Bay into the country.
In court today (Wednesday), the justices, after deliberating on the decision, again failed to reach a verdict.
