President of the Republic Of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has expressed sadness over the death of Ghanaian former United Nations Secretary-General, Mr Kofi Annan.
Mr Annan was reported dead in Berne, Switzerland on Saturday, August 18, 2018, after a short illness.

Former UN Secretary General-Kofi Annan Says Fidel Castro Was 'One of Latin America's Most Remarkable Leaders' As He Mourns Him
Former UN Secretary General-Kofi Annan has taken to facebook to mourn Fidel Castro who died yesterday, aged 90.
In his post, Kofi Annan said: ‘Fidel Castro was one of Latin America’s most remarkable leaders’ and called him a friend.
Kofi Annan wrote:
“Today I mourn the loss of a friend, the late Cuban leader Fidel Castro. Securing the welfare of the Cuban people and ensuring the independence of his nation shaped much of Fidel Castro’s thinking and many of his actions.
