The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Henry Kofi Wampah, has announced that he would be stepping down from his post at the end of this month.
Wampah was appointed by the President in 2012, and has had a relatively bumpy ride as governor of the central bank during a time of runaway deflation of the cedi and a private sector crippled due to the power crisis.
