Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, simply and popularly known as Efya Nocturnal, is 30 years today and the streets must come to a standstill for at least some 30 seconds to appreciate this gifted vocalist.
Efya is a free soul bird always happy about herself in her melanin skin everywhere you find her. Efya is a pride of Yaa Asantewaa Secondary School in Kumasi who got into the music limelight in 2008 during the maiden edition of Stars Of The Future when she emerged 1st Runner Up.

Aided by a live band, Efya performed her rendition of Duncan Mighty’s “Obianuju”, “One of your own” and “I try” to a packed audience at Tribeca Performing Arts Center. The performance was filled with grace and splendor and she sparkled on the night in a dress by Germain Blue and Tanzania’s Daniel.

Singer Efya, one of the top vocalists on the local scene, has launched her debut album ‘Janesis’ in Accra, and reaped quite the amount for the sale of its maiden copy.
An anonymous benefactor at the launch, held at the Pot 7 club in Osu, bid $150,000 to pick up the first copy of the album.
Singer-Efya has shared some black-blond wig photos and though we were caught by the colour of her wig, the dresses she wore with the wig put her in our naughty room.
When it comes to taking a fashion risk, Efya does that a hell lot—mostly, showing too much cleavage or thighs and that’s exactly what she does in these photos.

Efya is one songstress who has come a long way, from her humble beginnings on ‘Stars of the Future’ as Jane, through rebranding herself as Efya; and to her current status as arguably the top vocalist on the local scene.

Organizers of the event earlier on debunked rumors circulating around that Efya would be the headliner for the 2015 edition of the event—and maintained that the headline artiste will be made known at the launch of the event which will take place on Tuesday, 17th November- at the Surfline’s LTE Lounge in Osu.
