Ebola Human Vaccine Trials to Be Held In Ghana

The disease has been booted out in Liberia, still causing havoc in Sierra Leone and Guinea, so striving for a vaccine is an admirable cause, and one that many international agencies are working towards.

However, I would think carrying out Ebola trials would be useful in the countries actually infected by Ebola.

A report by Starrfmonline indicates trials on an Ebola vaccine is set to commence in Ghana. Students of Hohoe Midwifery Training College have been selected as the sample to be used for the trials, with phones and cash to be given out as incentives.

The trials are being spearheaded by officials of the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ho, with officials indicating they have the full backing of the World Health Organisation.
