The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram in the Greater Accra Region, Sam Dzata George, has openly admitted that both major parties use the police service as a ‘jobs for the boys avenue’ whenever they are in power.
George, speaking on Morning Starr Friday, was responding to recent cases of abuse by police officers.
In arguably the fiercest of the just ended NDC primaries, protégé Sam George impressively floored his mentor, NDC veteran and Ningo-Prampram ‘Mugabe’, E.T Mensah- in the race for the NDC parliamentary slot in the constituency.
Sam George polled 4,910 votes, representing 53.4% of total votes- whilst ET Mensah polled 2,831 votes, representing 38.5%. of the total votes cast.
