The President of the United States, Donald Trump who said during his election campaign that he is a real friend of the LGBT community and accused Hillary Clinton of prioritising “Islamic extremists” over LGBT Americans has shocking stated he will ban all transgenders from serving in the US army.
Trump took to Twitter to announce his impending ban, saying:
“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow…Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military.”
