African Dancehall king, Samini will host Jamaican Dancehall superstar, Demarco in Ghana on July 1st, 2012 in a highly anticipated event dubbed “I Love My Life” Concert organized by Phamous TV, LCA Ghana Chapter and Viasat One Television.
Demarco was named as the main international artist for the show after Samini, an LCA Ghana ambassador, had asked his fans on facebook and twitter to name a dancehall artiste they would like to see perform alongside the decorated young Ghanaian performer.
Demarco has been a favorite of most Ghanaian music lovers and party-goers since songs such as ‘I Love My Life’, ‘True Friends’, ‘Fallen Soldiers’ and ‘Nuff Gyal’ became radio-friendly in Ghana. The 30-year old has since been linked to local concerts times without number, though none has materialized until now .
“I have been contacted by so many event promoters from Ghana but either no agreement was reached or the timing was bad until I was approached by Phamous Media Group / LCA Ghana a couple of weeks ago; and I’m more than glad to be doing Ghana as my first stop in Africa”, Demarco told The GH. Entertainer newspaper in a telephone conversation on June 1st.
