British drug lord David McDermott has received a 13 year sentence for drug trafficking after his trial in Liverpool drew to a close on Wednesday.
McDermott was found guilty of being part of a plot to import a massive quantity of cocaine from South America to the British Isles, cocaine with a street value worth a staggering £70m.

McDermottt, who was arrested by a joint law enforcement operation after hiding in Ghana for years, was fighting his extradition, but the court has ordered it, hence he would be sent back to the United Kingdom to stand trial.

According to Mirror UK, McDermott was married to the daughter of the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Ramona Wampah, and lived with her and their little baby in Burma Hills.
