Viasat 1 has acquired broadcast rights to two Ghanaian series that will begin airing in May: ‘Home Sweet Home’ and ‘Living with Trisha’. Beginning Tuesday 8 May 2012 at 8pm, Viasat 1 will premiere one Ghana’s most popular television series’ HOME SWEET HOME. Season 9 of Home Sweet Home, shot on location in London, follows the life of Enoch Sarpong Junior, the eldest child of the Sarpong clan, as he comes to terms with living as a Ghanaian in the United Kingdom.

On Wednesday 2 May 2012 at 8:30pm, Viasat 1 will premiere one UK’s most popular television comedy serials ‘MEET THE ADEBANJOS’. Meet the Adebanjo’s (MTA) is the UK’s Number 1 Black British Sitcom centered on a modern British-African family living in London. It follows a larger than life Dad struggling to instill his old fashioned African values in his reluctant new-school British household. The comedy comes from the typical family ups and downs fueled by the regular comedic mishaps of Dad (Bayo) and from the eccentric lodger (Aunty Funke).
