Ghana Meets Naija 2014

The biggest Concert on the Ghanaian event calendar-Ghana Meets Naija will return on 24th May, 2014 at the Accra International Conference Centre—and to thrill music lovers with great performances are; Sarkodie, Guru, Castro, Davido, Kcee, Wizboyy and several others. We hear Asamoah ‘BabyJet’ Gyan will even mount the stage with Castro, in attempt to beat Nigeria to the game.

Courtesy of Empire Entertainment, the organizers of the annual mega concert, GhanaCelebrities.Com is giving out 4 VIP & 6 Standard tickets to our valued readers to freely step out on the day of the event at no cost, and enjoy a night of great musical performances from some of African’s greatest artistes.

Who takes home the champion belt? Ghana or Nigeria? With Sarkodie leading a host of talented Ghanaian artistes, it seems Ghana has a home advantage but as usual, Davido is one hell of stage rocker who can stand alone to the Ghanaian forces…

I flew in from London last year just to attend the Ghana Meets Naija concert and after the event, I wrote; “I think I am not far from right if I call ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ the highest, the hippest and probably the hoppest concert on the Ghanaian event calendar. It has rejuvenated that special thing about African music—-hitting you hard with no pain.

Without any doubt, the organizers have successful redefined how music and performance should be delivered at African concerts—making it more fun, secured, comfortable and extensively interactive with incredible social media participation.

Quick and ahead of their competitors, they’ve realized the power and meaning of social media interactions.”

This year’s edition of Ghana Meets Naija; if anything all will see an improvement—meaning, the fun and energy can’t be contained. There is a reason it is called a MEGA CONCERT.

Castro In Juju Scandal, Probably Head On Plate To Die Since He Failed To Honour Promise To Spiritualist!

blank
I know some few celebrities who are well vested in this Juju BS. Folks are finding it difficult to accept the existence of God even, and yet some of us  pride ourselves  in  believing in some powerless little gods who live in shrines.
I never knew Castro was a true jujuist ( My word for people who believe in the power of juju)…If it were some of the celebrities I already know as jujuist, I would not have even be amazed but for CASTRO?
Do you know these black charms are very popular in our Entertainment Industry? Various Actresses and Actors, Musicians and Footballers live in shrines-seeking for spiritual protection…Protection from what? From another colleague who will be determined on destroying their career with different form of juju…LOL
If Christopher Hitchens wrote and convincingly said ‘God Is Not Great’ then I guess with my experience, knowledge and understanding of the workings of some of these juju, I can proudly say ‘Juju Is Not Great’ else Atta Ayi would never have been arrested…Get out of these scamming Africa charms because they never bring anything good!
The concept of juju and any form of such power is a totalitarian belief that destroys individual freedom.  Do you believe in juju? I will surely like to know how primitive minded some people are…LOL
Read below for the NewsOne Juju Story on Castro
………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Hip-life artiste Theophilus Tagoe, who goes by the showbiz name Castro, is reported to have gone in for a very potent juju, a spiritual charm, to help advance his music career.
Castro, who won the hearts of music fans the world over with his hit track, ‘African Girls’, in which he featured soccer hero Asamoah Gyan, was reported to have gone for the juju from a powerful female spiritualist at Madina Zongo in Accra.
He was said to have obeyed all the ‘juju rules’ and presented a bottle of good quality foreign schnapps, confectionaries for ‘sadaka’ and a cash amount.

Daddy Lumba [DL] For ‘Legends & Legacy Ball’ 2011!

Celebrating Daddy Lumba

In the western world, legends are honoured, appreciated and celebrated all the time. They are awarded in their various fields of endeavour when they are alive and active. Even when they finally give up the ghost, they still get acknowledgements and recognition.

Celebrating legends posthumously has become the order of the day in our part of the world. Legends die many years before they are celebrated or anything done in their names.

Imajin Advertising, an event promotion and management outfit based inAccrabelieves it is prudent if legends are honoured and appreciated while they are alive and can relish in the accolades, praise and other benefits that come from being recognized as a legend.

The company feels it is wrong to wait till a legend dies before praises and accolades are showered on them, when the same can be done whiles they are alive. Owing to the above, an event ‘Legends & Legacy Ball’, to honour living legends has been instituted.

The ‘Legends & Legacy Ball’ is an annual event to honour music legends. As time goes on, the company hopes to extend the event to Kumasi to cater for the Northern sector of the country.

The maiden edition of the ‘LAL Ball’ focuses on legendary high life musician born and christened Charles Kojo Fosu but known by many as Daddy Lumba and recently responds to ‘DL’.
