In the past two days, the terrorist group-Boko Haram has killed up to 2,000 people in the northeast Nigerian town of Baga, their second killing spree since seizing control there over the weekend.
According to locals, the insurgents began shooting indiscriminately and burning buildings on Tuesday evening in several raids targeting the civilian population that carried on into Wednesday—leaving behind in the streets dead bodies.
The military which were protecting the town fled when Boko Haram attacked their base, leaving the town of population-10,000 to the militants…
