One of Ghana’s representatives to the recent Big Brother reality Tv show ‘BB Amplified’-Alex Biney has just finished shooting his scenes in the latest movie from controversial movie maker and CEO of Movie Africa Productions, Socrate Sarfo.
Alex who is also known by many as ‘Bomaye’, a name he got while in the Big Brother house has said that, he is ready to grab any opportunity thrown at him.
It appears he didn’t slack in grabbing the opportunity to star alongside Fred Amugi, Vivian Achor, Eddie Watsons, Baby Blanche and others in Socrate Safo’s ‘Sons Of Satan’.
The bitchie Karen Karen Igho has won Big Brother Amplified huh? This makes me wonder if indeed Big Brother Africa is grounded on a plain equal competitive platform… It seems to be me that, the highly populated countries like Nigeria will continue to win such shows as result of the populous voting syndrome. Do you think … Read more
Ghana and Joy FM’s DJ Black will also be performing at the live show and at the Big Brother after party in Johannesburg South Africa. DJ Black was invited back to Big brother Amplified after an impressive performance in the house, when he rocked the house during one of their Saturday night parties. MNet Brand Manager Gideon Khobane stated that “DJ Black has been one of the best if not the best DJ to play in the house”.
Meanwhile, his week, Africa must vote this week to decide which two of Hanni, Karen, Lomwe, Luclay, Sharon O, Vina and Wendall will walk away with the Amplified prizes next Sunday! Voting is open from Monday July 25 at 20:30 CAT and runs all the way through until 06:00 CAT on Sunday 31 July.
Now it’s all down to the viewers. Big Brother wants your vote for the Housemates you think are most deserving of the two USD200 000 prizes!
After surviving Eviction once and being whisked into Tails, Danny has been Evicted from the Big Brother House after seven weeks in the game but Nic was also not spared.
In true IK fashion, Kim was the first one to be asked to stand, followed by Danny then IK told her she had been saved but her beau, Nic, was still awaiting his fate. Kim couldn’t help herself, she screamed on top of her voice before breaking down.
The calm Ethiopian Housemate seemed puzzled at first but Alex quickly snatched him and gave him a long hug while Luclay just broke down.
Once on stage with IK, Danny thought it was just the girls who had nominated him but was shocked to see Alex on that list. Meanwhile, IK was back for the final announcement. Luweza clutched onto Karen after IK announced that she was safe then it was down to the two guys, Nic and Luclay.
One of Ghana’s representatives for the Big Brother Amplified reality show, Confidence Haugen has shrugged off suggestions that her reaction when evicted from the House was a reflection of how desperately she needed the $200,000 at stake
Some commentators have described Confidence’s declaration of “Good, I’m out of this place. I’m done with you guys…” as a face saving gesture after her eviction. Quite uncharacteristic of other evictees, Confidence headed straight for the exits, declining to hug and share a word or two with the other Housemates until perhaps her closest friend, Weza, ran to hug her.
Speaking to Katleho Khabele, co-host of the Citi Drive on Monday June 13, 2011 a day after her eviction, the Aphrodisiac night club owner said she was not bothered by the lost opportunity to win free cash, insisting money was not her motivation for going into the contest. For her, it was for the exposure the show came with.
“I wanted to show that we have fabulous people in Africa just like the Kimora Lee Simonses and Kardashians; that there are hard working fabulous women in Ghana. I don’t need the money. It’s really about the exposure for me as a business woman”.
The 37 year old said she was voted out of the House because she was seen as a threat by the other housemates and not because she was rude, bossy or boring as some viewers have suggested.
“I am a friendly person, however it is easier to be friendly to people who are genuine. Those people in the Big Brother house are not genuine. It is just a game for them. I tried to be real and open with all the members.”
One of Ghana’s representatives to the ongoing Big Brother Amplified ‘Confidence Haugen’ has been nominated again for possible eviction coming weekend from the house. This is the second eviction nomination for the woman who has been touted as a ‘control freak’ in the house.
Confidence, who is in the ‘Heads House’ has been nominated for possible eviction alongside Sharon O from Uganda who had 4 nominations, Vina from Nigeria, Bernardina from Namibia and Michael from Mozambique with three nominations each.
Big Brother Amplified has evicted the housemate Lotus Kyamba onFriday May 20, 2011. This is in response to her contravention of the Big Brother rule against violence earlier in the day during an argument with Luclay.. Violence will not be tolerated in the series by M-Net and series producers Endemol. Luclay pushed Lotus to the … Read more
The first eviction of the big brother Africa season 6 live show just ended and our Confidence Haugen has successfully dodged eviction. You can’t imagine how happy she was when she escaped. She was happily shouting ‘We are back’ as she made her way with the others back into the house. Two of the housemates namely Jossy … Read more
Confidence Haugen’s nomination for eviction in the on-going Big Brother Africa Season 6 ‘Amplified’ was not a big shock to many people who are of the opinion that, the CEO of Aphrodisiac Night Club is becoming over bossy in the House.
For some few days now, the blogs have been buzzing with her eviction nomination story alongside a video & photo of her recent exposure of her extra extra large boobs. From what I have been reading so far, it seems most Ghanaians are asking for her kick out of the show.
Some are of the opinion that, she is even too old to be in the house anyway. Others are calling her a ‘slut’ for showing her goodies in the House and for ‘whatever’ they know about her.
On Sunday May 15, one housemate in the ongoing Big Brother Amplified will be evicted from the house. Last Monday, housemates did put forward names of housemates they would want to see evicted from the house.
If housemates, who nominated Confidence’s sentiments are something to go by, then it means that, in all indication, the owner of the biggest night club in Ghana seems to be the favourite and the first housemate to be voted out of the show. The only thing that can save her now is votes.
After the nomination show, 6 housemates were nominated for possible eviction. The 6 includes one of Ghana’s reps Confidence, the CEO of Aphrodisiac Night Club who looks not to have settled fully in the house. Her domineering approach to issues and things has taken the better part of her to the annoyance of the other housemates who thinks she’s a control freak.
With poor showing from Ghana’s previous BBA shows, I was asked when the current edition started with housemates entering the BBA house if I think Confidence is good enough to rep the country. I remember saying that, everybody in Ghana can represent the country but if the person picked will have the right attitude, adopt correct game plan with votes coming in, that person is likely to go far even if not getting close to the prize at stake; USD200.000.
The first live eviction show of Big Brother Amplified (8 May at 19:00 CAT on DStv Channel 198) kept the continent and housemates alike, guessing, as Big Brother threw the biggest curveball in the history of the show. As the credits rolled, the housemates found themselves randomly split into two groups, in two separate houses – and competing for the USD 200 000 grand prize!
IK teased viewers with video of an empty house as the live eviction show kicked off, hinting that Big Brother had something up his sleeve. As the show progressed, the housemates were all summoned from the house and onto the stage, with uncertainty the order of the day after ‘Audition Week’ left some of them doubting their future in the game. Once on stage, IK asked them to randomly pick different-coloured gloves from a bag.
Once all the housemates had each fished for a glove, the group of 26 found themselves wearing 4 different colours. The first group of 15, wearing green and yellow gloves, were asked the leave the stage – and soon found themselves back in the house they’d just left! Shortly after the departure of the first group, the remaining 11 housemates had been asked to leave the stage too, fearing that they may have been eliminated from the game. Seconds later, they emerged into a completely new house – and their relief was palpable!
Big Brother Amplified kicked off tonight. 26 housemates from all over Africa were introduced to the entire continent and online viewers around the world before making their way into the newly renovated house in South Africa, where they will be caged in for 91days.
To be honest as each housemate was introduced I just kept thinking “What a bunch of good looking people”! Is this a beauty pageant? There are some fine guys in that house. And I have my eye on each of them. LOL.
Based on the housemates video intros there are clearly some very strong characters in the house. So you know it’s gonna be explosive! I can’t wait for the hook ups, the fights and the all important shower hour for all the pervs out there!
