Uprising rapper, Awal Mohammed has slammed the organisers of MTN hitmaker reality show on how they award their prizes to the contestants who reach the final stage of the competition.
Awal became 2nd in the just ended MTN Hitmaker Season Seven reality show and received a mobile phone and airtime on top of it.
About 9 years ago, Awal Mohammed found favour in the sight of the African biggest rapper alive, Sarkodie after he, Awal performed Sarkodie’s song word for word without making any mistakes, rapping like Sarkodie himself.
Sarkodie then went ahead to record songs with Awal so most of us were hoping to see Sarkodie sign him unto his Sarkcess Music Record label so the young rapper could continue his music career, but sadly, things didn’t go as we all expected. Sarkodie never signed him but instead, he signed Strongman born Osei Kwaku Vincent.
Yesterday, Sunday 25th of November 2018, the much-anticipated MTN Ghana’s reality show, MTN hitmaker Season 7 was successfully brought to an end at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The show witnessed spectacular performances from previous winners of the MTN hitmaker show, Kurl Songx and the two signed Lynx Entertainment stars, Kuami Eugene and Kidi, who are currently both part of the roster of Ghana’s biggest music artists.
